8 Essential Things to Know Before Your Motorbike Tour in Vietnam

8 Essential Things to Know Before Your Motorbike Tour in Vietnam

1. Travel Light

Pack only the essentials. Soft backpacks are better than hard suitcases. We provide straps to secure your bag on the bike.

2. Wear Appropriate Clothing

Wear long pants, closed shoes, and a light jacket. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a raincoat (especially during the rainy season from May to October).

3. Safety First

We provide quality helmets and protective gear. All our drivers are experienced and licensed. If you ride your own bike, make sure your license is valid in Vietnam (or bring an International Driving Permit).

4. Physical Condition

You don’t need to be super fit, but you should be comfortable sitting on a motorbike for several hours a day. We stop often to stretch, rest, and explore.

5. Be Open to Adventure

Expect surprises – dirt roads, spontaneous stops, and cultural encounters. It’s not just about the destination, but the journey.

6. Accommodation & Meals

We choose clean and comfortable local guesthouses or hotels. Most recommened meals are  authentic local food. Let us know if you have dietary restrictions.

7. Cash & Connectivity

Bring some cash (VND) for small purchases. ATMs are rare in remote areas. Wi-Fi is available in most hotels, but signal may be weak in the countryside.

8. Insurance

Travel insurance that covers motorbike activities is highly recommended.
